First movie in Costa Rica

We attended our first movie in Costa Rica yesterday! We met some of Azure’s friends and their parents in Escazu to see the new Narnia movie –Prince Caspian. We were lucky enough that Cinemark was showing the movie both subtitled and dubbed since the Flores mall only had the dubbed version. The movie was busier than we expected and we didn’t get the best of seats but we all enjoyed the movie very much and I’m sure we’ll do it again.

I liked seeing the Spanish subtitles –it actually helped me understand the movie more since I’m slightly hard of hearing. The best part had to be ticket prices. At approximately $3.40 we can’t stay away anymore.

That is so cool. How did Azure do with the Spanish.

Were they friends of Az's from School or the family you met?

Still wondering if those banana trees will really grow back next year? Are they really only good for one crop?

Mom,
Azure's Spanish is getting better but her friends (from school) we met for the movie all speak English which is why we drove to Escazu to see the movie in English.

The banana trees really only fruit once. The short trees in the front yard seem to be younger than the taller ones. They do grow VERY fast! When one dies, a new one grows near it. It's all very cool. Also, we found out that the bats pollinate the trees!
